2020年12月30日，福建省教育厅发布《福建省教育厅关于公布2020年度福建省高校工程研究中心立项建设名单的通知》(闽教科〔2020〕30号)，依托我校生命科学学院申报的“闽东水产品精深加工福建省高校工程研究中心 ”获省教育厅批准立项，中心主任为韩坤煌高级工程师。

本中心协同国家海洋渔业局公共服务平台---海西海洋特色生物种质资源及生物制品开发公共服务平台、中国水产科学研究院东海水产研究所、福建省水产研究所、宁德市鼎诚水产有限公司等科研院所、行业龙头企业等共同建设，面向闽东水产品精深加工研发开展协同创新工作。

同时，本中心将聚集国内外学术优势资源，通过实施目标管理和任务驱动，建立研究平台共建、优秀人才汇聚、学术资源共享、协同创新发展的运行机制，把校企合作协同育人与服务地方产业发展有效结合起来。
